Here is another post with just a video.

Alright, progress is being made. They're awfully cute, aren't they? Even when they're all killing each other, they're cute.

Would you guys mind a Garden Box release with like... just a few patch plants and decorations and these guys? I know the polls said otherwise but I'm not sure I trust my tendency to burn out enough to carry through with my original plan of having like, the entirety of C3 life included >:

Seriously, what was I thinking. "Oh sure, I can totally do amazing conversions of every single plant and animal by myself in a reasonable amount of time; I can also eat four-million sandwiches, and conquer China." Something like that.

I guess I tend to bite off more than I can chew sometimes. Maybe.

  1. That sounds release-worthy to me. I was hoping for some of the aquatic stuff, but they're not worth burning yourself out over.

    1. Sadly, the aquatic stuff seems to be a rather niche thing, and according to the survey I posted a while back, there's just not a lot of demand for it. But I have a few ideas for some fish with interesting behaviors that I hope to get around to someday.

  2. I've already been enjoying playing with the Garden Box, and I'm not even using the latest alpha release. It's definitely already worth releasing.
Bring out packs in drips and drabs and I think people will be thrilled.

  3. I would been happy with the few patch plants and gnarlers! Maybe a short tutorial on how to add some things to the GardenBox too? I'm not really caos literate. x.x

    1. Don't worry; I have a few pretty detailed guides written up, hopefully it won't be too difficult!

  4. Gnarlers! I think the patch plants are absolutely amazing: Maybe it's not what you intended with the first Garden Box release, but this small selection has made feeding my Norns so much easier, and a lot more natural. ArchDragon said it nicely: Release new stuff slowly, and I'm sure people will be just as thrilled!

  5. I'd think that people would be rather hard-pressed to complain about this release. I'm really looking forward to it!

It sounds like you really need a break from this project. If you still want to improve it later, you can always come back to it as ArchDragon said. :)

  6. Many eyes make for fewer bugs, and even 'just' with the patch plants (and there is no 'just' with the patch plants, they're AMAZING) the Garden Box will be revolutionary.
